Aloo tikki burger is the fusion of Indian and western food, here tikki is king which is full of flavour with indian spices like cumin powder, ginger-garlic paste, dried mango powder and black pepper powder.

For preparing aloo tikki you need to mash boiled potatoes and mix spices, shape the mixture into tikki and tikki is ready.

You can prepare this tikki a night before then store in a container in refrigerator and the other day you can fry it.

Ingredients:

  • 6 medium sized boiled potatoes
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp amchur powder(dried mango powder)
  • 1 1/2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 to 1cup refined oil(shallow fry)
  • 4 tsp mustard sauce`
  • 5 tsp tomato ketchup
  • 3 tsp green chilli sauce
  • 1 tomato(sliced)
  • 1 onion(rings)

Directions:

  • boil potatoes then peel it and mash it.
  • add red chilli powder, salt, cumin powder, amchur powder, ginger-garlic paste, black pepper powder and breadcrumbs into mashed potatoes.
  • mix everything until combined well.
  • divide the mixture into equal portions I have divided into 4 big portion.for burger we need big aloo patties.
  • prepare the aloo tikki and roll in into breadcrumb, then shallow fry the tikki.
  • fry until, golden and crisp
  • warm the both side of burger with oil or butter, don’t toast it and if you don’t want you can skip this step.
  • mix both sauces that is tomato ketchup and green chilli sauce.spread the thin layer of sauce on bottom bread.
  • then place hot and crispy patties or tikki on bread then spread mustard sauce on it, then place onion and tomatoes onto it.
  • cover it with burger bun, and its ready to serve.

Aloo patties burger| aloo tikki burger

aloo tikki burger is the fusion indian and western food.aloo tikki is the indian twist to the bun.

  • 6 medium sized boil potatoes
  • ½ tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper powder
  • ½ tsp dried mango powder(amchur powder)
  • 1½ tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 cup bread crumb
  • ½ to 1 cup refined oil (shallow fry)

other ingredients (assembling bun)

  • 4 tsp mustard sauce
  • 5 tsp tomato ketchup
  • 3 tsp green chilli sauce
  • 1 medium sized onion (rings)
  • 1 medium size tomato (sliced)
  1. boil 6 potatoes.

  2. peel the potatoes and mash it.

  3. add 1/2 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tbsp salt, 1 tsp cumin powder, ¼ tsp black pepper powder, ½ tsp dried mango powder(amchur powder), 1½ tsp ginger-garlic paste and lastly add ½ cup of bread crumbs.

  4. mix everything,until combined well.

  5. divide the mixture into equal part,i have divided into 4 big portion as for burger,we need big aloo patties.

  6. prepare the aloo patties then roll in into breadcrumb and shallow fry the patties until golden and crisp.

  7. now for assembling the burger, warm the burger on both the side with some butter or oil, dont toast it just make it little crispy.

  8. mix 5 tsp of tomato ketchup and 3 tsp of green chilli sauce,spread a thin layer on bottom bread,place the hot and crispy aloo patties.

  9. spread a teaspoon of mustard sauce on patties,add onion and tomatoe and then top the burger with bun.

  10. insert a toothpick if desire and serve with love.
