Ingredients
This recipe requires only 3 ingredients. A few things to point out – in case if you have leftover paratha instead of leftover roti, then leftover paratha can also, be utilized. I have sprinkled some chaat masala after frying for flavouring, if you don’t have chaat masala then salt can be used instead of chaat masala.
- 3 leftover chapati
- 1 teaspoon chaat masala
- oil for frying
Step by step instructions
1- Using a sharp knife, or kitchen scissor or pizza cutter cut the roti into a diamond shape.

2- After cutting it, heat the oil and deep fry it on medium flame until golden.make sure you don’t burn it.
3- When fried transfer it to an absorbent paper and sprinkle chaat masala.

4- Let it cool down for 10-12minutes and serve
How to bake it?
1- Preheat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius.
2- Using a knife or pizza cutter, cut the roti in a triangle shape. You will get 4-5 pieces out of one roti.
3- Add a teaspoon of oil on roti and spread it well. Line the baking tray with parchment paper, add the roti triangle on the baking tray.
4- Bake it for 5 minutes from one side and then flip the roti and bake for 5 minutes from another side. don’t over bake it otherwise, it will burn.
How to store it?
Store it in an airtight container in a room temperature for 10 to 12days.

Top tips
- Don’t overbake the Chips, keep a watch if the chips are turning brown or burning then remove instantly.
- If you want to bake it rather than frying then cut the roti into a medium-size triangle, you will get 4-5 triangle cut out from one roti.
- Fry until golden.
Variations
- Any roti can be used for this recipe either it’s frozen roti, leftover roti, fresh roti, leftover paratha or tortilla as well.
- Serve it with tomato ketchup, mayonnaise or coriander chutney.
