Step by step recipe of quinoa halwa:

1. In a Kadhai add 1/2 cup ghee and 1/2 cup quinoa flour. Roast the flour on low flame by stirring continuously.

2. After 5 to 7 minutes of good stirring the flour will get little bit darker in colour and aroma will spread all over your kitchen.

3. Then add sugar in it and stir. Then add water in it and cook it on medium to high flame by stirring continuously.

4. Keep stirring it and it will start to thicken.

5. After 3 to 4 minutes of stirring, halwa will start coming together then add cardamom powder in it and mix. It’s done.

6. Turn off the flame, garnish it with some chopped dry fruits and serve.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup ghee 
  • 1/2 cup quinoa flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder

Instructions

  1. In a kadhai add 1/2 cup ghee and 1/2 cup quinoa flour. Roast it on low flame by stirring continuously, so that the flour doesn’t burn.
  2. Don’t rush the process, makesure to roast it on low flame to avoid burning.
  3. When the flour is roasted add sugar and mix and then add water.
  4. Then cook it on medium flame by stirring continuously and it will start to become thick.
  5. When it starts to leave the sides of the kadhai add cardamom powder and mix.
  6. After a minute it will all come together and halwa is ready to serve.
  7. Serve it hot it tastes yum.
