This easy creamy garlic mushroom pasta recipe is rich, creamy, garlicky, and can be made in less than 30 minutes. This pasta is perfectly seasoned and tastes best when served piping hot.

There is a very famous cafe in East Delhi (India) called cafe wink, they serve very delicious creamy mushroom pasta and this pasta recipe taste’s nearly the same, always reminds me of this cafe pasta. If you ever visit this cafe try their pasta and then make my pasta recipe at home. Then you’ll know what I am talking about.

So, this is a must-try recipe, you can make cafe-style pasta at home.

  • Pasta– Penne pasta.
  • Veggies- Button mushroom, garlic, and coriander leaves.

How to make creamy garlic mushroom pasta

In a pot add pasta, water, oil, and salt. Boil the pasta until done, when boiled reserve little pasta water and drain off the rest water. keep the boiled pasta aside.

In a pan add butter and sliced mushroom. saute the sliced mushroom at low to medium flame then add minced garlic, chopped coriander leaves, salt, and chili flakes. cook the mushroom until it is shrunk in size and softened or cooked.

(Note: Before slicing mushroom make sure to rinse it nicely.)

After Sauteing the mushroom add all-purpose flour and mix it well. cook the flour for 1 to 2 minutes at low flame. Then add fresh cream and milk to it and whisk it well so that no flour lumps are formed.

Keep stirring the white sauce. When the sauce become thick and smooth add oregano, salt, red chili flakes, and black pepper powder. Mix it well.

Add boiled pasta and pasta water or pasta stock to the white sauce. Mix it well. Add a slice of cheese or over pasta, when the cheese melts mix it again and turn off the flame.

Tastes best when served it hot with a mango mojito, orange mojito, or any refreshing drinks.

Top tips

✔️Always use a large pot to boil pasta so that it is not overcrowded and is boiled evenly. Do not overboil the pasta.

✔️You can use any pasta shape. Penne, farfalle, fusili, macaroni, spaghetti or shell pasta

✔️Fresh cream can be substituted with mayonnaise for richness and creaminess.

✔️You can also use other veggies in this recipe like broccoli, bell peppers, sweet corn, or zucchini.

✔️Cook the sauce at low flame so that it does not burn and lose all its flavor. If the sauce becomes thick you can add little milk and get the right consistency.

✔️Salt and other dried herbs quantity can be adjusted as per your taste.

Yes, you can skip using fresh cream and only use milk and flour to make the sauce. fresh cream makes the sauce rich and creamy, you can also use mayonnaise instead of that.

Boiling Pasta

  • 2 cup pasta
  • Water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon oil

Saute veggies

  • 4-5 button mushroom (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon chilli flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Pasta sauce

  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 1/4 cup fresh cream
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon chilli flakes
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1 Cheese slice

Instructions
